Slight Refocus

I'm going to be refocusing NodeOmega just a bit. For the few posts that existed up to this point, it's been mainly a technical blog. Not everyone's a programmer, of course. And of course, I also like a great many more things, such as music, games, movies, that sort of thing.

In the coming months, I hope to write quite a bit more on technical topics and more, I suppose you could say "nerdy/geeky" topics.

I don't have a comment section set up here, so take that as you will. I'll have to gauge what will be appropriate to put here. Maybe even some editorials on various topics like a former blog I once had (which I still have the files for, but I'd rather not repost those. I don't think the content has aged well).

I'll also need to update my portfolio a bit, I should have a couple more recent projects to post on that. Really, I need to actually reformat that entire thing. It's a bit stale.

At any rate, it's time to spread wings and soar. Now, a good question: Is it wise to attempt making an omelette out of phoenix eggs?

I'll let you ponder that. Good night. Or morning, rather.

Time for a facelift!

After much consideration, I have decided to relaunch nodeomega.com. There are many reasons for this:

  1. The old design I had up with just the image links on the front looked alright... but in the end sucked for SEO.
  2. I decided it was time for an overhaul.
  3. The old portfolio needed an update, and why just update that when I can update the entire site?
  4. Finally implementing this blog.
  5. New and improved tag system.

I think that pretty much covers it. It's a long way from what I originally planned for NodeOmega (which was, and will still be in the future, a webcomic/graphic novel/animation (hopefully) media company).

In the meantime, it keeps my web design and development skills up to date, and showcases more of what I can do. Plus, hey... HTML5 man! This desperately needed a facelift.

I don't have a commenting system, so you'll just have to bear with me, or if you do have my contact info, drop me a line.

Now for a (very) late dinner. Fun Saturday night fooling with code, but this is up and operational!

(Portfolio link soon to be operational again. Stay tuned).
